I immediately saw a shark in this driftwood piece. The back half is made of a device that attaches to a cow's udder for milking. It is stainless steel and rubber. The shark is wired together and rests on top of an upside down vintage ice skate. It's called One Eye Open because sharks never sleep. The fins are made with leather and yarn and the tail is made with emu feathers. Beach glass and vintage buttons add a bit of sparkle. The alternate side of the shark is woven yarn in wire frame to fill the gap in the hollowed out driftwood. The color of the yarn is meant to evoke water.
