Meant to represent our collective fear of possible nuclear war due to the instability of North Korea. The piece is an ostrich with its head in the sand and the sand box is being held in place by a vise grip. The body of the bird is a piece of wood with a burl in the middle. The feathers are emu feathers. The feet are vintage brass hardware for something. This piece was displayed at the 2018 CVG show at the Collective Visions Gallery in Bremerton WA. 19h" x 27"w x 15”d
